Josh's passion for aviation began over 15 years ago, starting with Microsoft Flight Simulator. As a corporate trainer finding the time to start formal flight training in airplanes, he quickly made the switch to helicopters because of the allure of the challenge. After obtaining his initial CFI license a decade ago in Portland, Oregon, Josh has trained students in New Jersey and Boston. He recently went back to school and graduated from Bridgewater State University with a degree in aviation science. Josh is also an FAA instrument-rated Helicopter flight instructor and professional drone pilot. Josh’s enthusiasm for flight instruction and years of aviation experience make our newest instructor a welcome addition to our team.
Alec has been an aviation enthusiast for a long time - his passion for flight developed after he received Microsoft’s Flight Simulator X for his 10th birthday! Alec joined VATSIM in 2014, after which his interest in aviation took off. He has strived to surround himself with aviation ever since.
Alec runs our 737NG and Cessna simulators for customers of all ages. In the real world, Alec is an FAA instrument-rated commercial pilot, and he is an aerospace engineering major at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Krikor’s interest in aviation began in 2007 when he watched Air Crash Investigation videos on YouTube and purchased Microsoft Flight Simulator X to use on his laptop. In 2014, he discovered VATSIM, and soon after joined Boston Virtual ARTCC in mid-2015. As a student with no real world aviation experience, BVA allowed Krikor to grow into the hobby and obtain VATISM controller and pilot ratings.
Krikor recently graduated from Brookline High School, and is a private pilot, flying the Piper Warrior out of Norwood, MA. He is an avid flight simulator enthusiast as well, with long term aspirations of being a commercial pilot.
